This agreement establishes expectations and responsibilities for billet families participating in the Phoenix Inferno Housing Program. The goal is to provide a safe, supportive, respectful, and family-oriented environment while maintaining consistency with the player agreement and housing policies.

Billet families play a critical role in the development and success of Phoenix Inferno players. Hosting a player means more than providing a room — it means welcoming a young athlete into your home and creating an environment that promotes growth, responsibility, independence, and accountability.

Billet families understand that players are expected to become part of the family structure and not simply tenants renting a room.

The billet family agrees to provide a safe, clean, respectful, and supportive home environment that promotes the player's well-being, personal growth, and daily stability. This includes:

• A furnished private bedroom for the player (or shared with one other billet player, if agreed upon).
• Daily nutritious meals, with groceries on hand so players can make their own breakfast and lunch. Host families only need to cook or arrange for dinner each night. Specialty foods, supplements, energy drinks, performance products, or personal-preference items beyond normal household provisions are the responsibility of the player to purchase.
• Access to a washer and dryer for the player's personal and athletic clothing.
• Access to Wi-Fi & study space — reliable internet and a quiet area for homework and online coursework.
• Welcoming the player and fostering a home-away-from-home atmosphere built on emotional support, structure, respect, and healthy routines.
• Maintaining reasonable supervision while promoting player accountability.
• Notifying the Billet Coordinator, General Manager, or Team Staff of any significant concerns or disciplinary issues.

Host families are not required to provide transportation. Carpool or other transportation arrangements will be coordinated in cooperation with the organization; however, if a family elects to provide transportation, such assistance is appreciated.

Billet families understand players are expected to:

• Respect all household members, rules, schedules, and property.
• Keep their living area reasonably clean and organized.
• Clean up after themselves in shared spaces.
• Communicate schedules and expected absences appropriately.
• Make every effort to participate as a positive member of the family structure.
• Comply with curfew guidelines as established by the organization and coaching staff.
• Reside at their billet home only unless otherwise approved by the organization.
• Invite guests to their billet home only when approved by the billet family and consistent with team rules. Overnight guests are not permitted at the billet home.

Billet families may establish additional household expectations provided they are reasonable and communicated clearly.

Additional household rules:

Billet families agree to report concerns involving:

• Illegal activity
• Property damage
• Behavioral or disciplinary concerns
• Excessive absences
• Financial concerns involving billet obligations
• Persistent household conflicts
• Significant concerns regarding player welfare

Billet families agree to:

• Maintain open communication with the player.
• Attempt respectful discussion of minor concerns before escalation.
• Notify the Billet Coordinator promptly regarding serious concerns.
• Participate in periodic feedback requested by the organization.

The billet family understands:

• Players are responsible for damages caused by negligence or misconduct.
• Damages should be documented and reported promptly.
• Resolution of damage reimbursement may involve the player, parent/guardian, and organization.

Host families understand that billet compensation is intended to assist with expenses related to hosting a player and is not intended to create a profit opportunity.

• Billet families will receive payment for the months of August 2026 – March 2027 for billeting Phoenix Inferno players.
• Billet Amount: $700 per month. Partial months are prorated at a rate of $23.33 per day.
• If a player is placed with a billet family for only a portion of a month, the prorated per-diem rate of $23.33 per day will be applied. This applies to mid-month placements and to instances where players may leave the team due to team performance decisions or being traded.

• $700 monthly stipend.
• For Phoenix Inferno players: 2 season tickets per household for Phoenix Inferno home games (additional tickets negotiable depending on family size).
• Billet family recognition and events throughout the season.
• 10% discount at Glacier Café & Pro Shop.
• 6 free public skating passes for Fire N Ice Arena for the household.

We acknowledge that we have read, understand, and agree to follow the expectations of the Phoenix Inferno Billet Program and agree to work cooperatively with the player, parents, coaching staff, and organization to create a positive billet experience.

Billet family participation and placement approval is contingent upon all residents 18 years of age and older of the billet household completing required USA Hockey registration, SafeSport completion, and successfully passing all required background checks.
